La Mer

Because there is nothing more beautiful, than the way the ocean refuses to stop kissing the shoreline no matter how many times it’s sent away.

Pal Beach, North Minahasa

I have always been fond of the deep blue sea. Wheter its running giddly like a child to bathe myself in the crisp and salty water, simply submerging my feet in the warm sand, or hearing the hissy intake of my breath and the messy row of bubbles that follow when I dive. Messy, because I know my lungs aren’t that strong to begin with. Nevertheless, the sea helps me train my shallow breathing.

It also allows me to forget about time. And the petty problems that invade my deepest thoughts that are ironically, the result of my own doing because when I look out into the endless horizon, I realize that I am so, so small.

But most importantly, to be relentless and never give up.
